And, how's this for an interesting concept: breastfeeding "allows" only one
person to "bond" with the baby, so there is little social interaction, which
could be to blame for the development of autism.

I heard this thrown around in a different social circle, not too long ago.
It was an extrapolation of homeschooling, and how "poorly socialized" these
kids are (non-homeschooling parents, who did not breastfeed, and had no
children with autism), so I didn't put too much effort into getting excited,
but thought it was interesting how some (misinformed) people think.

<<Since social interaction is a big challenge for these kids, what better
than breastfeeding!  Nursing certainly leads to much greater interaction
than a bottle which can become very remote from the bottle giver.  It's not
easy to separate the breast from the mother!
