Just started thinking with all this talk about newborns knowing their parents
& surroundings from birth. I heard a long time ago a story about
composer/conductor Leopold Stekowski. (I apologize for the spelling of the
name. I'm doing it phonetically.) He supposedly told the story about how
when he was conducting a symphony that was new to him the cello part just kept
jumping out at him. He couldn't get away from hearing the cello part all
through the thing as if it were the melody. Turns out his mother, a concert
cellist, had only practiced and played that symphony once in her career--when
she was pregnant with Leopold.

Makes you think.
