Hi Elizabeth,
I work at a small hospital in Sydney Australia, and we are preparing for
accreditation for next may, I do not know you accreditation system, but
our is called EQUIP and they look for the following:-
1.  policiec and procedures manauls
2.  business plan
3.  documentation for each patient
4.  consent forms, documentation for medications
5.  what the unit has achieved, outcomes and achievements which include
    the dates working towards the achievable goals
6.  infection control manual
7.  occupational health and safety manual
8.  safe operating practices
9.  fire and safety
10. quality assurance
11. clinical indicators
12. Committees pertaining to each field eg. infection control, product
    evaluation committee, nursing qa, hospital qa, executive committees-
    heads of staff, medical officers review committee, small working
    parties to assess new forms, changing practices etc.,
13. Policy for child safety within the hospital
14. Interpreter services
15. operating thetre policies and procedures
16. breastfeeding policy, and the education for the midwives within the
    unit

This is only the tip of the iceberg, but I hope it gives you some ideas.
