Here's my suggestion for Karleen's sister. Try the "ironing board trick".
You lay an ironing board (or something similar) against, say, a couch
(perhaps a 90° angle) and have your sis lay on it with her head on the lower
end. This lifts the uterus up out of the pelvis and allows baby room to
turn. I worked at a hospital where we had a couple of employees who would
come to our unit on their break and we'd put them in Trendelenberg to help
their babies turn. I once told this to a mom in 6th pregnancy (5 born
vaginally) who was scheduled for a c/s the next day for breach. She went
home and did this (x 10 minutes two times a day) and when she came back the
next a.m. (after her IV was in, belly shaved, the whole nine yards) they did
an ultrasound and baby had turned! Overnight! I got to do her labor and
delivery vaginally 2 weeks later. I have also seen that you can use the
birthing balls to help turn babies.

Marsha, who turned 2 of my own babies this way, after my nurse practitioner
(and underground midwife) told me to try this!
