No offence taken. Why is it correct to start solids by the calendar, but not
by the baby's readiness.  I did not say to start before 4 months (except in
cases of poor weight gain when nothing else has worked--better than formula,
in my opinion).  I said babies will try to eat the food off their parents'
plate sometime between 5 and 6 months.  Some do it later, some earlier.  If
you have leaves on your plate and eat them, why shouldn't your baby?
