Sorry thought I typed sun exposure is 2 hours per week to exposed skin
,without sunscreen, for Vitamin D .
Mothers and infants on solids can also receive D thru fortified products,
egg yolks and fish oils. The high risk groups are those who culturally
drape or bundle without skin exposure, strict vegetarians, and dark skinned
imigrants in Northern climates. High use of suncreens, soda pop intake,
and long daycare without outside time were sited as high risk for Vitamin D
deficiency at our meeting.
