I posted to misc.kids and some other newsgroups that I thought that Bill
Adler, the agent for Bottlefeeding Without Guilt, who was for a time the
agent for Milk, Money and Madness, had shown his wife, Peggy Robin, (the
author for Bottlefeeding ... ) the manuscript for MMM, and that her
outrage at what she saw as breastfeeding zealotry in MMM was her starting
point for writing her piece of crap (Believe me, I've read it: it is
crap.) Now it does seem *awfully* coincidental that he was working on MMM
and suddenly his wife writes a completely contradictory book that gets
published within weeks of MMM (which was in the works for a long time
before Bottlefeeding ... was ever started).

Well, Mr. Adler has written to me threatening to sue. I haven't responded
yet, but my current draft tells him, in essence, to blow it out his ear. I
made a reasonable conjecture from the facts. I still think it was sleazy
even if all he did was drop MMM and then turn right around and promote a
book, written by his wife, no less, that was the polar opposite of it. It
just stinks to high heaven.

I'll let you all know if I need to start a legal defense fund ;-)

Rachael Hamlet, who has to learn to keep her big mouth (and keyboard) shut
sometimes.
