Perhaps someone from the pump companies can provide more insight on this,
but my theory is the pump air vent  (in the kit) is somehow causing this.  I've
seen it in moms using a certain brand of pump kit and it seemed to vary  from
pump to pump. Colostrum and mature milk seemed "bubbly" and/or frothy. It
settled down as the milk sits.
