Thanks for more ideas. I agree with the thought that when there is a problem dad wants to fix it right away.
How is this analogy I just thought of:
Mom is having problems breastfeeding so dad wants to fix it right away, his potential answer is bottle/formula rather than getting the BF problem fixed.
 But isnt this similar to saying my Mercedes or Volvo or Ferrari is having problems so instesd of getting it fixed I'll get an econo car?
(no offense intended to ecno cars just appealing to male logic.)
