Are any of you in-hospital experiencing this? Our director of OBS anesthesia
has been inserting epidural catheters into early laboring women, but not
injecting medication through it until the patient requests. I really get
steamed when I see this. This is not done on all patients, just some. But
enough to make a difference.

This same anesthesiologist has put aside his precious time and offered to
meet with the prenatal childbirth classes to dispel "myths about epidurals".
He does this for free. This is the same to me as free gifts from the
formula companies. It never really is free. All I can think about is his
greediness. I'm disgusted.
