I really don't know enough about this to say if the mother is at any
risk from continuing breastfeeding.  However, the "formula is almost
as good" story is a lie.  Secondly, the decision on how long to
breastfeed is the mother's.  She has gotten the story from the
doctors.  Now *she* decides.  Not them.

Where is the physicians' evidence that the mother is at risk?
