Is anyone aware of any difinitive studies that link postpartum blood loss to
reduced (or nonexistent) milk production? Is all of the information
anecdotal? If so please let me know what you find, including amount of
blood loss, how long it takes for the milk to come in (if the milk comes
in), and if possible hematacrit levels of these mothers at discharge.

I'm seeing a tremendous variation in the effect, but I would like to get a
general idea so I can have certain mothers red flagged for automatic LC
referral if they lose more than ??cc of blood. What do you think?
