Just to clarify...Kathleen and I are not the "owners of the server."
University of Mass. Medical school owns the computer that currently runs
Lactnet. They donate time, computer space, and a lovely medical student who
makes it all go, technically. Kathleen and I began Lactnet, and now
volunteer to make the software work , and to keep things running as smoothly
as possible. We are not paid, and we do not moderate notes, and we are not
editors. What you see is what we see, ...when you see it, we see it. We
don' t weed out notes, and we don't review them or change them in any way
before posting. We do have command capabilities, and can do administrative
work, or disciplinary commands from our own computers, as we have special
access. However, that is the extent of our jobs and our administrative
powerl I should remind you that Lactnet is a free service, and we receive
no money for performing these tasks.

Just thought I'd clarify our positions as co-owners of Lactnet.

Thanks. Kathleen(s)
