Bendectin was a combination of Folic Acid and the active ingredient in the
over the counter sleep aid, Unisom.  It was taken off the market because the
company was sued every time any baby was born with a birth defect even
though Bendectin was proven safe.  I used Unisom throughout my second
pregnancy and it was the only thing that helped me.
