I wrote a couple of weeks ago about a mother with a diagnosis of
Sheehan's syndrome (damage to the pituitary, which results in
little/no prolactin and lactation failure). I got lots of great
information -- THANK YOU -- and the mother is considering
participation in a study of a recombinant prolactin that is underway
in Boston (special thanks to Lisa Morasco for providing information on
this). She is using an SNS, has a scrip for oxytocin spray (not sure
if she's started using it yet), and is looking into all her options.
Since the mother lives a six-hour drive from the Boston study site,
has three older children and a three-week old baby born at 34 weeks,
she is carefully considering her next steps.

She wrote me with the following question, and I'm hoping someone on
Lactnet might know something: "Are you aware of a synthetic prolactin,
serolactan, manufactured in Italy?"

I tried googling the word, also tried it spelled serolactin, and got
nothing. I again appreciate your help.
