I am also a LLL leader .
I find that is it also necessary to keep the LLL meetings relatively low key
as to not frighten pregnant or new mothers. Once a mothers attends several
meettings we invite them to our planning meetings where we let our hair down
and show the true zealots we really are. We also use this time to explain
what is LLL philosophy and what has come from other sources.

Many times the mothers than also become zealots and share this passion for
the importance of breastfeeding with their family, friends, health care
providers and the community. We currently have a very active groups with
many wonderful helpers I believe because of the planning meetings.

Share what you've learned at LLLI with your group regulars. Encourage them
to attend your local area conferences so that the can have a small dose of
this experience . You'll find that you will have a group of zealots (leader
applicants?) and how lucky that will be for society.
