I'd certainly go back to breastmilk, and make sure the baby is getting 
enough milk inasmuch as possible with the vomiting. The doctor did not 
give any compelling information for giving soy instead.
Alanine levels are increased in starvation, from breakdown of muscle 
tissue for energy, so just going to glucose water for several days will 
likely make the situation worse.
Unfortunately, some inborn errors of metabolism are not compatible with 
life. Does this baby have high ammonia levels in her blood? It seems 
very strange that 3 amino acids without any metabolic pathway in common 
would be elevated...
