I am in awe of the courageous and articulate
women and men on this list, on the frontlines of
helping families, who are expressing their
concern over the current issues. I see the
professional subjugation which is inherent in the
new IBCLC SOP as a strange twist in the path
toward modern society's re-establishment of the
rights of infants and mothers to nurture each
other, as evolution clearly intended.

After reading every single post regarding this
issue, I'm still deeply confused by the
motivation for IBLCE's actions... and their
silence isn't helping any. Isn't every one of
them on Lactnet? If not, why not?

I have a growing feeling of "Foxes guarding the
henhouse", ie, that the de-facto, underlying
mission of the Board is some fear-based CYA
strategy, rather than the support and wellbeing
of LC's (and ultimately, families). Either that,
or profound incompetence. Yikes!
