I worked when my first baby was born, but stayed home with my next three.
That was, and remains, my choice. But, I don't think mother-baby
togetherness has to mean staying at home with a baby. Many moms have found
creative ways to work, go to school, &/or be an active volunteers and still
be there to answer their babies' needs, without the use of pumps or bottles.
This may be the society Kathy D. was envisioning. Guess we'll have to wait
for her response!

<In the long run, breastfeeding and mother/infant health would
>be better served by promoting a society where mothers and babies stay
>together, where no one needs anything other than a baby to remove the milk
>from their breasts. --Kathy D.

<<I applaud and encourage those of you who are helping moms to stay at
home.--Mary M.>>
