Is there reason to suspect that this baby was an in utero thumbsucker?
Lots of times they seem to have trouble adjusting to the change from infant thumb size and feel, to having a postpartum female breast in their mouths. Any wonder? It usually corrects itself providing baby is not permitted to try to treat the breast as s/he would a thumb.
