I have been working as an LC for over 12+years the today was the first time
for this - I thought you would enjoy!!
I am an LC on a MBU. I had been requested to bring a hand pump to a moms room.
When I entered the room there were at least 15+ family members there. I asked
where was mom,and the answer was oh she is in the bathroom breastfeeding. I
opened the door and there she was standing up (2days post toxic, breastfeeding)
I think my jaw dropped only slightly, and I stated loudly (I am sure I will be
counseled) "There is something wrong with with picture here!! " The family
scurried out, (although i stated that if mom desired they could stay)
I guess thats the beauty of being an LC there will always be a first time for
anything!!!!
