Having just learned about the B.E.S.T. materials from one of the formula
companies big in the USA, I would like to share my thoughts about that name
with you all--I KNOW I am preaching to the choir...please bear with me.

That ACRONYM was not selected by accident. Think about it. If you do not
make clear that it is an acyronym (by placing periods between the letters)
and simply state "the best materials by Ross...." this implies that you
have placed a value (they are the best of those you have seen or were asked
to use, etc) on them and are (in that way) judging them to be what others
should select as well.

Before we start talking about these materials, they need to be read
EXTREMELY CAREFULLY. I was shown other materials (with the names of three
IBCLCs and a well-known nurse researcher as contributors) and discovered
all manner of errors/poorly worded statements in the materials--even though
it (on the surface) looks pretty good and, of course, has now coopted the
reputations of the IBCLCs who chose to take the money and put the material
together.

My subject line probably says it all. Off the soapbox....
