I didn't see this news piece, but I thought I would share my own warm story
about this. I had a golden retriever for ten years who, "mid-life", nursed
a stray kitten we took in for months. My dog had had Parvo as a puppy and
seemed to be "sterile"; she never had puppies and never lactated. But the
kitten did seem to get milk from her or, at the very "least", was soothed
by the nursing. Everyone who saw the pictures thought it was the greatest
thing. People don't react the same way to pics of a mom nursing her human
baby more times than not. Just an aside there, but a sad one.

"When in despair, remember that all through history the way of truth and
love has always won; there have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time
they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall." Gandhi
