Laura,
Regarding Maloney Bill. Good Morning America covered the introduction of
the bill during one of their news stories. Nothing fancy...just the facts.
I caught it in Sicily on the Armed Forces Network.

Bonny,
I feel very sorry for this little girl and outraged at the adults for
treating her this way regardless of their personal beliefs. I was BF at a
birthday party the other night when a 7 year old boy came up and asked what
I was doing. I told him I was feeding the baby. He said "with a bottle?"
I said no- from the breast. I preceded to ask him if he had ever seen a dog
or cat feed their babies. He said "yes." I told him it was just like that.
His curiosity satisfied he wandered off. This is supposed to be 4-H?
Aren't they into raising animals? How different is it between a human BF
and a cow nursing her young? Aren't we both just feeding our young the way
that was intended? I just don't get it... If you can get an address I'll
gladly drop a line. Perhaps some members of my BF support group will
too....

Heather Davis,
I assume you are talking about Betamethasone? As we are at a small military
treatment facility without a NICU we will use this when we feel there is a
reasonable chance of delivery. We then Medivac the patient to Germany. I
have not heard of anyone complaining of their milk coming in early. In fact
one of the coleader of my BF support group had this shot several times while
she was in PTL. Her son is now almost 8 mos old and has been BF without
difficulty since birth-he's HUGE! I know this is only anecdotal but at
least this will give her some reassurance.
