Recently, I have seen posts regarding the use of cabbage leaves to
relieve engorgement here on LACTNET. My question is this: should the
use of cabbage leaves in new moms be used with caution? I have been told
by a well respected LC that cabbage leaves could actually contribute to
drying up a milk supply. If it isn't an inconvenience, could someone
give me a reference for the practice of using cabbage leaves and if there
are any precautions to be taken in their use? TIA
