The more milk a mother has, the more likely that the baby will take the
breast and breastfeed once he is ready (much earlier probably than they will
"allow" him).  It is a judgement call. If the mother is getting tired, maybe
it's better she not pump. But if not, it is better she maintain her supply.

"but will not be allowed to leave until the baby has bottle fed (3-4 weeks
to go)." And why does this baby need to bottle feed? For crying out loud,
what is going on in their heads? Why are they not working to breastfeeding
and what has bottle feeding got to do with breastfeeding?
