My... I agree with Chayn on this one.
This is really just a matter of red tape; it has no credibility whatsoever.
That would mean that all of us who have to recertify could not work between
taking the exam and receiving the results! What a nonsense!
Can't we do something about that through here, gathering signatures and
stating the 'unreasonability' of this...?
All consultations between July and October of recertification candidates
would be unethical following this reasoning.
We would have to make sure that nowhere our names would be mentioned with
the credentials behind it.
We could not give trainings and presentations, because we would have become
'incapable' of practicing as an expert.
If not, then we have unequal treatment of persons in the same situation, a
treatment willingly and clearly harming Amy's best interests (and the
clients she could serve were she to proceed normally).
Where to file a complaint about this...? Who gets to supervise
IBLCE-decisions...?
Are you an ILCA-member, Amy? Could ILCA help you with this?

Bye,

Marianne Vanderveen IBCLC, the Netherlands (and really glad she decided to
get her credentials a few years ago (after having been a volunteer bf
counsellor for many years), when there was already some rumour about
requirements changing in the not so far away future...)
