I am so thankful to hear from Laurie. <<Hugs>> I was just telling my
husband that I knew someone from the list who lived there and I hoped she
was ok. I am so sorry for what has been lost but so glad you are ok,
Laurie. Watching this on TV tonight, I have found myself in tears more than
a few times. It just breaks my heart to see the devastation and know how
many lives are affected. For the first time, I find myself wanting to go
help. I guess I just feel so helpless. My prayers and thoughts are also
with all those affected. As an aside, I saw on one news website Monday,
they were already calling for formula to be brought in. I can only imagine
the difference for the breastfeeding mother caught in this tragedy compared
to the bottle feeding mom. This is one time when the importance of Laurie's
work there (as well as our own work where we are) cannot be overstated....

Marsha, who is just so sad for our not-too-distant neighbors, and currently
experiencing the miniscule-by-comparison outer remnants of the monster and
feeling guilty for hoping my backyard won't flood.
