I want to publically thank Kathleen Bruce for her efforts -- and I am sure
they are tiresome! -- to keep our list focused on its main purposes.
Lactnet has been able to include humor, venting, and occasional political
and religious asides because there has been a great deal of sensitivity and
acceptance of diversity.  Appropriate qualities for an international list.
It is intolerable to have distracting interruptions and sniping from people
who are forgetting to practice these conventions of polite discourse.  Most
of the world, and most of us Americans on the list have not one whit of
interest in listening to this embarrassing flaming.  Any time critics of
Lactnet or of K.B. want to put in the extremely hard work involved in
creating and running a web page, go for it! That would be a good place to
express political views. In the meantime, personal attacks against Kathleen
B. (which one particular person seems compelled to do publically) must cease.
