I have had two white baby girls who sucked their tongues.  One I only saw
in the hospital.  Mother did not ask for a second consult, kept trying and
pumped for one month, then quit.

The second I did manage to get latched and suckling on 3 visits with the
aid of a Lact-Aid but mother could never manage without my help.  They
moved when baby was 3 1/2 weeks old and mother quit at that time.  Not
great success but neither Mom was really committed.  2nd had previously
formula fed her first child.
