If you have to teach a combined breast & bottle class, my advice is to do the
bfg first! A few years ago I observed a class that had the combined format,
and the instructor did bottle feeding first "so that the bottlefeeding
pareants could leave right away and would not have to sit through all the
breastfeeding info". She then launched into bottles and gadgets and
equipment to the point that, much to my dismay, even the "breastfeeding"
mothers were getting all excited about the device that hangs on your wall and
holds X number of nipples and rings................. Sheesh! IMO, the
breastfeeding class was sabotaged before that section even began. Make'm
hear it all, and be respectful as you go. You might get a grateful convert or
two as a result!
