I have received $1s from legitimate companies for other market research.
While it's a gimmick, it's not improper. The more impo. issue is the
sponsoring company.

Question about ethics. Speaking for myself only. So many parents are still
not getting adequate info and help. It seems that in the few years I was out
of the loop, that marketing, etc. of ABM has  gotten more sophisticated and
aggressive.  If the sessions aren't being underwritten by the ABM companies,
I think it would be a shame to pass up the opportunity to get the word out.

For example, some bf support groups will be present at baby fairs where
there are also booths from ABM companies.   These baby fairs are often
sponsored in part by supermarkets, stores, etc. that do sell ABM.  Should
they not be there b/c of that?
