First, diflucan only works on Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis and
Candida parapsilosis. Clinically also useful for Crytococcus neoformans.
LIMITED activity vs Candida lusitaniae, Candida guilliermondi and RESISTANT
vs Candida glabrata and Candida krusei and Aspergillus.
Your description sure sounds like a fungus, but first you need to know which
one.
Second, I think the dose was light, if it is systemic. See PDR for higher
dosing. Depending on problem, doses go to 200 and 400/day. Also a double
(loading) dose on first day of tx is important.
Third: Diflucan can cause hepatic problems. N, V & D also are side effects.

So I think you need a culture and microscopic examination of fungus.

Also, when I've had a major problem of one sort or another, I directly
contact the mfg. They have drs. on staff, who are there to discuss cases
and uses. Diflucan is made by Roerig, Phizer, Inc., 235 East 42nd Street,
New York NY 10017-5755. Medical information: 800-438-1985. After hours and
emergencies - 800- 734-7862.

Another issue is, if she gets a higher dose, should she pump and dump.
Hope this info is useful.
