I like Jack's book alot. It is really simple to read and understand, and his
support of breastfeeding is, of course, unwavering.
I think it's a shame about the LLL book not being used. LLL has a medical
review board and a substantial BF Info center; all materials are well
researched and well referenced. Their materials are excellent.
Unfortunately, the reputation of LLL in our area is quite poor. Health care
staff are reluctant to recommend them. Yes, they have the reputation of
being 'fanatics.' I am not trying to dredge this all up, but this is the
reaction I see.
