Winnie asked to hear from those of us in hospital practice regarding our
suggestion to Moms re: the use of fenugreek and/or Mother's Milk Tea.  We
have had no problems with this at our hospital.  When I asked one of the
neonatologists if she had any concerns with Moms of pre-terms using these
galactogogues, she replied, "We eat that in my country."  She has no
problem with our suggestion of these products.  I see them as food products
instead of drugs, although I respect the fact that many herbs have drug-
like properties.  I tell Moms that some people have reactions to fenugreek;
ie. lowering of blood sugar.  In my experience, reactions seldom occur.
