So as I lay on partial bed rest with this pregnancy I am stuck watching TV
and in the past days have been amazed at all the references to breastfeeding
in these shows. Of course not all are good (such as the Law and Order where
breastfeeding baby starves to death) but some are such as the Charmed
episode I caught yesterday waiting for a movie to begin and her sister was
kicked out of a bistro for breastfeeding and so she rode up on a horse naked
like Lady Godiva to protest and shouted out how that manager was against
something so natural. Plus I loved that in the middle of the show the one mom
said well I have to get back I need to feed someone and pointed to her
chest...I know dry humor, but it is all I have on the days that my insurance
will not cover my meds and I am stuck in bed while there is no lactation care
at the local hospital (AHHH!!!).....and even I am a volunteer there....
