So I Googled the terms.
The first reference was the briefest and the most clear, in my mind:
<http://ezinearticles.com/?The-Difference-Between-Selling-and-Marketing&id=218734>

Here is what I think I learned:

Marketing includes selling, but selling is NOT the sum total of marketing.

Marketing is the "message to the consumer" explaining why this product is best for baby or mother, healthy(iest), necessary, important, safe, emotional or status value, reasons to seek this item rather than the competitor's item, etc. It is also the wording or pictures (happy, healthy baby) on the box that contains the product, or on flyers, signs, websites.

Selling is the final one-on-one transaction between two people: the buyer and the sales person at the cash register or with the online payment transaction.
Selling is also the inventory or pricing list with no "message to the consumer" attached, like the shelf full of products and a price tag attached, or the picture of a product package with a simple listing of the items include in that package. That product package picture can include all the individual items in the package. The only message is "these are the things you get for your money."

The Code limits the marketing of feeding bottles and teats but not of milk collection and storage containers.
Feeding bottles and teats are not necessary for the breastfeeding mother, but collection and storage containers are necessary parts of a breast pump.

Open for clarification or correction...
Phyllis
