Darlene, I don't have enough information to comment on the advice given to
the mother on whether or not to breastfeed the baby, but I just wanted to
say that I've found it to be important to give MOST physicians (I realize
we have some very open minded ones on Lactnet that this wouldn't apply to)
only information written by other physicians.  So I'd give the GI doc
Lawrence but not Riordan and Auerbach and search PubMed or something for
articles written by physicians to support your point.
