Pyridium is a urinary tract analgesic.  It is usually only used for comfort
for a day or two until antibiotics kick in and begin to cure the infection.
It is optional.  Can just take antibiotic. Can suggest that she pour warm
water over perineum when she starts to urinate for comfort.   Sincerely, Pat
