I spoke with one of my WIC moms on the phone yesterday. She says her baby had
problems and is still hospitalized at 10 days old.

Says she was breastfeeding as well as leaving pumped milk, but yesterday the
doctor told her to stop brfdg and bringing her milk because the baby is low in
calcium. She says that his level was 9 at birth and 6.9 the day before
yesterday.
What is that all about ? Someone please tell me.

She also feels guilty because she did not want / like / consume dairy products
during the pregnancy. We are a culture that has been brainwashed, in my
opinion, to think that dairy products are THE way to get your calcium
naturally.
