Had to hang around Wal-mart (a large sells-everthing type discount store
in the US - when I was in Germany the equivalent was Vertkauft) waiting
for my husband to pick me up after I got a perm and was perusing the
magazine rack - usually do not have time to do this so was flipping
through the various magazines. One on Pregnancy Fitness had some pages
upfront of short snippets of info and one said the a hospital in NYC
(Columbia - Methodist?) just did a study of mothers who did not bf,
mothers who did both, mothers who had bf but weaned and exclusive bf'ers
and discovered (like this is a surprize to anyone ??) that only the
exclusive bf mothers had less awareness of stressful situations around
them and a lower measurable stress reaction to to such situations.

In this months Parenting there was a multi page article by Marianne
Neifert, MD on breastfeeding - especially the concern about achieving and
maintaining an adequate milk supply. I did not read this entire article
but thought others might wasnt to check these out.

Even tho I did not see the 'stress' information as new stuff, I still
found it interesting. Made me want to go re-read my Niles Newton stuff.
