Greetings!

I recently received a call from a mom who's child just turned 1 year old. She is breastfeeding and sending milk to the daycare. She has been told by the daycare that she needs a medical note from her pediatrician stating that breast milk is still medically necessary now that her baby is 1 year old! We spoke with the daycare director who indicated that this is a required regulation. Does anyone know if that is true?

Thanks,

Holly McSpadden, IBCLC
