While I've worked with a few lesbian couples, I haven't had this situation
come up yet. I wouldn't see anything wrong with the baby suckling from
both women, but I have mixed opinions on the non-lactating partner going
through an induction of lactation. I understand there is not a physical
need for the baby to feed from the non lactating partner. However, the non
lactating woman obviously has expressed her maternal need to nourish her
baby. The difference is that a father doesn't have breasts that *can*
lactate. I would recommend counselling her as you would anyone about
inducing lactation and give it a go.

I'll be interested in hearing what the group says too. An interesting
situation we can all learn from. Please let us know how things go.
