I agree. If I remember correctly, that study reported that the majority of
those babies were also failure to thrive, or slow weight gain so  the problem
was probably "lack of breastfeeding".
I think the problem is that the majority of infants today are being cared for
in day care centers, and with the understaffing problems, infants are not
taken outdoors. And with the millions of dollars that our former governor put
into early education programs, more and more of NC' s babies and toddlers are
in day care and early intervention programs.
