Pam: That was an eloquent post about "bf not belonging to us." It brought
some sanity back to an otherwise very harrried week. I, too, have children
(2, 5, and almost 10) who are growing right before my eyes. They are why I
chose to step off the tenure-track merry-go-round for a decade or so (I'm 5
years into the plan and will leave my options open). I think our problem,
if I can speak for more than myself, is that we get into trouble two-fold:
by being incredibly passionate and also coaxed into the predominantly
patriarchial territorial wars passed on my the predominant medical model.
Warmly,
Chris Hafner-Eaton, PhD, MPH, CHES, IBCLC [log in to unmask]
