   I had the pleasure many years ago to work with a Ped who would tell a woman
that it was o.k. for her to wean BUT she must pump for the next 24- 48
hours... the wisdom in this approach is that more often than not these woman
needed some "down time" and when the next day came they had renewed energy to
work through the existing problems.

   I feel that calendula is the most effective thing I have found for
fissures. Additionally it is antifungal and antibacterial.
