While I admit this is a personal request, I feel it may help others. Two and
half years ago I was diagnised with breast cancer and ended up losing one
breast. The support I received from my "breast friends" (that's what my
fellow LCs in SA nicknamed themselves!) was tremendous. Bit I still felt
that it took a lot of work to recover mentally/psychologically) in fact it
still goes on. One astute person remarked that it may be due to my
profession and it's closeness to the breast! I still sometimes feel very
angry/upset when I see a mother breastfeeding although I don't show it (I
hope). Since I started lecturing full-time this year I have been a lot
better and wonder if this is because I don't see as many mothers as an LC
due of time constraints. Any comments are welcome either on the net or
privately.

prosthesis when he first saw it and commented that it wasn't a real breast
because you couldn't get any milk out of it!!!)
