For peace of mind, Mom may want to borrow a generator for a day. We used one to run our freezers/fridge during a recent power outage, a bit reminiscent of Green Acres. (We could only run 2 appliances at a time, and had to switch which one was plugged in.) We used extension cords and had the generator outdoors. Any mom with a freezer of stored breastmilk may want to consider the small investment of a generator to preserve that hard work.
