At a Baby Friendly workshop a video titled "Skin to skin in the First Hour After Birth" - Practical Advice for Staff after Vaginal and Cesarean Birth from the Healthy Children Project was discussed as being an excellent teaching tool. Our hospital has since purchased this video and love it - but I mention the video because in it it states that infants appear to feel less pain during the first hour and also with being skin to skin with his mother it may be a good time to give the vit K injection. Has anyone else noticed this in the video or heard this recommendation?
