positive PPD is a positive test for TB, sputum test will help decide if it
is active TB or an old infection.

Lawrence says mom needs to have 2 weeks of treatment and can then BF
directly. Pumped milk can be given for the two weeks until mother is
considered non contagious and can contact with baby. This is from Clin
Perinatology 1999:26(2) 479-90, viii.

Red Book says AAP considers BF compatible with Isoniazid and Rifampin.
Rifampin may color milk.

sincerely, Pat in SNJ
